Our Staff:

Penelope Gunning is a Registered Veterinary Technician.  She attended Foothill Community College where she received her Associate of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2002.  Penelope was born and raised on the Coastside and resides on the coast with her husband, Corey.  Penelope enjoys spending time with her horses and her dog, Teal.  She participates in barrel racing and enjoys attending competitions as often as possible.  Penelope grew up with large and small animals and has worked for small animal veterinary hospitals since 1999.  She enjoys the veterinary field and loves being able to work with animals. She and husband, Corey, recently added a baby girl, Bailey, to their family. We expect baby Bailey to be putting on her cowboy boots soon.

Terri Moehle, RVT is enjoying a second career at Coastside Veterinary Clinic. After receiving a BS in Soil Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA., she had a successful 20 years career working as a soil scientist and horticulturist in California, Arizona and Texas.  In 2002 , she decided to follow her heart and do what she enjoys most, working with animals.  She started working as a veterinary nurse in Texas and simultaneously earned an associate degree in veterinary technology. After graduation, she returned to California were she sat for the board tests and is now both a California RVT and a NARVT. In her free time she enjoys doing anything outdoors - riding dressage, hiking, bicycling and gardening. She is an empty nester, and lives in Half Moon Bay with her husband and a very spoiled Doberman.

Julie Burns joined the practice this summer as our veterinary assistant. She is currently attending Canada College and hopes to continue her studies in Nutrition at UC Davis. Julie and her family have lived on the Coastside since she can remember. She has been involved in her local 4-H program where she raised livestock and competed at the county level. Julie is no longer a 4H member, but is glad that she can still participate in the club as a leader. She also has a golden retriever, Rusty.

Kelly Hollingshead, RVT is a 2009 graduate with highest honors from Foothill College’s Veterinary Technology program.  She is also a class of ’87 graduate of Chico State University, having majored in Computer Science.  After a successful 20 year career in software engineering, Kelly decided to pursue an exciting new path among the ‘heartbeats’ of the animal world.  She hails originally from Modesto, CA, and has lived in the Bay Area since 1987 and on the coast since 2004 with husband Michael and a full house of her ‘other’ pets (grin), Cassie-the-Wonder-dog (a rescued Golden Retriever), recently adopted Lisa the (one-eyed) Border Terrier, and longtime companion-cats, Samson and Delilah.
