Penelope Gunning is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She attended Foothill Community College where she received her Associate of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2002. Penelope was born and raised on the Coastside and resides on the coast with her husband, Corey. Penelope enjoys spending time with her horses and her border collie, Mia. She participates in barrel racing and enjoys attending competitions as often as possible. Penelope grew up with large and small animals and has worked for small animal veterinary hospitals since 1999. She enjoys the veterinary field and loves being able to work with animals. She and husband, Corey, recently added a baby girl, Bailey, to their family. We expect baby Bailey to be putting on her cowboy boots soon.

Terri Moehle, RVT is enjoying a second career at Coastside Veterinary Clinic. After receiving a BS in Soil Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA., she had a successful 20 years career working as a soil scientist and horticulturist in California, Arizona and Texas. In 2002 , she decided to follow her heart and do what she enjoys most, working with animals. She started working as a veterinary nurse in Texas and simultaneously earned an associate degree in veterinary technology. After graduation, she returned to California were she sat for the board tests and is now both a California RVT and a NARVT. In her free time she enjoys doing anything outdoors - riding dressage, hiking, bicycling and gardening. She is an empty nester, and lives in Half Moon Bay with her husband and a very spoiled Doberman.

Laura Duffy, VT started working as a vet tech 20 years ago with the SPCA. She has worked at several animal hospitals over the years, and currently works at Coastside Veterinary Clinic part-time and is a surgical technician with Veterinary Surgical Associates, a specialty surgical practice in San Mateo, CA. Laura lives in La Honda with her Siamese cats and 2 dogs.

Debbie Lowry is our patient advocate and is very involved in animal rescue. She used to work in real estate but came to Coastside Veterinary to pursue a career caring for animals. She has two rescue poodles, Tinker and Belle, and a cat named Flint.

Julie Burns joined the practice this summer as our veterinary assistant. She will be attending Foothill College in the Spring of 2010 and will be taking veterinary technology courses. Julie and her family have lived on the Coastside for her whole life. She has been involved in her local 4-H program where she raised livestock and competed at the county level. She also has two golden retrievers, Rusty and Biscuit.
