Shelly Bellamy is an experienced local trainer offering companion animal training and consulting. She is a registered veterinary technician (RVT) who has worked at various veterinary hospitals on the peninsula including 17 years at the San Francisco Zoo. While at the zoo, she became acquainted with positive reinforcement methods as a way of handling wild animals in a more humane and stress-free way to get her job done. Shelly has worked at Peninsula Humane Society as a behaviorist and training instructor with many years of education through a multitude of behavior courses at veterinary conferences. She has shown dogs in conformation shows. Shelly currently lives in La Honda with two Cardigan Welsh Corgis and her well loved cat. She also keeps a 5 year old Fresian stallion. Shelly is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
